Digital patient management with teora® platform

teora® platform is a web application for healthcare providers that enables them to digitally support VR therapy with teora® mind from anywhere.

How does it work? You receive login credentials and sign in to teora® platform via your regular web browser. There, you create patient profiles and create individual training plans. You can, for example, set the training frequency and select exercises relevant to your patients. This data is transmitted to teora® mind. This selection is then displayed to your patients in the VR application and can be used for training.

teora® platform operates in accordance with the highest data protection standards. The application was developed to be GDPR-compliant and meets current data protection regulations. The security of your patients’ data is ensured.

Simplified documentation and visualization

Once the training session is complete, teora® mind transmits relevant data, such as the number of therapy sessions completed or the duration of use, back to the web application. This reduces the need for manual documentation and allows you to see at a glance whether your patient is training according to plan.

How does home therapy with the teora® mind bundle work?

You begin the therapy with 1-2 sessions during which your patients receive an on-site introduction and familiarize themselves with how to use the VR headset and the software on it. For the remaining therapy sessions, your patients can take the VR headset with them and use it at home as part of their daily routine.

How do I get access to teora® platform?

As a healthcare provider, you receive free access to teora® platform for your facility when purchasing teora® mind.

Reimbursable remote therapy

The combination of teora® mind, teora® platform, and a mobile VR headset enables digital therapy support regardless of location. This model has been reimbursed by the Inter Insurance Group since February 1, 2024. This includes both in-person sessions at your facility and digital support for your patients’ home therapy.

With the DRV pilot project EVI Neuro, teora® mind is taking a decisive step toward integration into standard care. In this clinical trial, funded by the German Pension Insurance Fund of Baden-Württemberg, the application is being tested from 2024 to 2027 in the field of neurological rehabilitation with several hundred patients across various rehabilitation clinics. Starting in 2026, insured individuals from all German pension insurance providers will be able to participate. The goal is to evaluate the therapy for future reimbursement by the German Pension Insurance, and thus take an important step toward the widespread availability of digital therapies in the German healthcare system.
